How Local Shops in Dwarka are Adapting to Digital Payments

Over the last few years, the retail landscape in Dwarka has undergone a massive transformation. From small vegetable vendors in Sector 6 market to high-end showrooms in Sector 12, everyone is embracing UPI, credit cards, and digital wallets.

This shift has not only made transactions faster but also safer for shopkeepers who no longer need to handle huge amounts of loose cash. Customers also enjoy the convenience of going cashless. According to recent surveys, more than 85% of daily transactions in local Dwarka markets are now completed digitally.

However, the journey hasn't been without challenges. Issues like internet downtime, transaction failures, and lack of digital literacy among older store staff remain. To combat this, local merchant associations are organizing workshops on safe digital practices and cybersecurity.
