The most attractive thing about Indian democracy is the freedom that its citizens enjoy. This was stated by Kushal Pal Singh, DCP Dwarka. He was speaking at a programme organized on the occasion of the International Day of Democracy at the Dwarka Campus of IP University today. He said that freedom also means discharging one's responsibilities along with the rights one has been given. He said that change is also necessary, but it should happen through democratic process. Calling upon the students, he said that the future of the country rests on their shoulders. In view of this, you should walk on the right path. He advised students to stay away from misinformation, drugs, cyberbullying, peer pressure, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, local MLA Sandeep Sehrawat said that it is the specialty of Indian democracy that even the voice of a common man is heard at the highest level of power. He informed that soon three to four new libraries will be opened in Dwarka. This programme was organized under the aegis of the National Service Scheme (NSS) of the University.
